ABOUT THE HOUSE, WHAT TO EXPECT AT FIFTY6 AND THE GARDEN COTTAGE:
Fifty6 is a newly renovated and lovingly restored mid-century home, with a stylish and contemporary interior and spacious indoor and outdoor living spaces. Well suited to groups or families sharing, the fully equipped house sleeps 8 guests and includes DSTV and WiFi. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar and rusks are provided on arrival. The house and the garden cottage are serviced daily from Monday to Friday and on special request over weekends.
THE ENSUITE BEDROOMS:
Fifty6 has 4 spacious bedrooms, each ensuite and arranged to guest requirements (king or twin bed). The bedrooms are styled in modern furnishings with hospitality grade beds and quality percale linen. Bathrooms are modern and are fitted with showers. Bath towels and guest soaps are included.
THE LIVING AREA:
The living area at Fifty6 is a light and airy space, perfect for relaxing. Fitted with comfortable sofas and a flatscreen TV offering the full DSTV package. There is plenty of reading material and easy access out into the garden. The WiFi connection can be picked up from here and the rest of the house.
DINING AREA AND BRAAI PATIO:
The open plan dining area, with 12 seater dining table opens out onto the braai patio and garden. Share a family mean, play cards, build puzzles or just “kuier” around the fire!
OFF STREET PARKING:
There is ample off street parking at Fifty6. The property is secured by electric boundary fences and an indoor alarm system linked to a reputable security company.
THE GARDEN COTTAGE:
The Garden Cottage offers a comfortable base for up to two guests.Spacious and well-appointed. The Garden Cottage has twin beds fitted with percale linen and can be converted to king size as required.
The ensuite bathroom has a shower, loo and basin, with towels and guest soaps included. The cottage has an equipped kitchenette for basic self-catering.The garden is private and situated away from the main house. Here you have a covered outdoor living area with outdoor furniture and a portable Weber braai.
EASY ACCESS TO ALL THAT THE AREA HAS TO OFFER:
Fifty6 is ideally situated opposite the George Golf Club, meaning you can literally walk over to the course. Apart from the golf course and town centre being within walking distance, George itself is also well positioned to allow you access to a wide range of hiking and MTB routes.
Fantastic beaches and surf spots are within a 15 minute drive from the house, the George Airport is also a 15 minute drive away, while Fancourt is only 10 minutes down the road.
GOLFING GROUPS:
Golf has a strong following in the George area and Fifty6 is ideally suited to golfing groups looking for stylish and convenient accommodation, within easy reach of the nearby courses. The George Golf Club is situated directly opposite the house, while Fancourt and Oubaai Golf Course are within a short drive.
TRAIL RUNNING, HIKING AND MTB GROUPS:
With a large number of trail running and MTB stage races now taking place in the Garden Route, Fifty6offers well suited accommodation for sports groups looking for a suitable base in the area. Safe undercover storage for bikes is available on the property.
ON HOLIDAY IN THE GARDEN ROUTE:
Family groups and kids are welcome at Fifty6. With its 6 spacious ensuite bedrooms and wonderful garden, the house makes an idyllic base for a Garden Route holiday. With the beaches only a short drive (15 minutes), and a number of child friendly activities in the nearby area, the house and its garden offer perfect tranquility for those returning from a busy day out.
NEARBY BEACHES:
Victoria Bay and Herolds Bay are within a short drive from Fifty6. These are world-class surf spots. The Kaaimans and Wilderness beaches are idyllic spots for family beach outings and are a all within a 20 minute drive of the house.
